New wheels..... ATS, not classics, cups or any else i know!! :-)

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!! I bought these wheels from german ebay not too long ago to use over winter as i thought they were in terribel condition. They cost £40!! :-) 3 months later i received them and they are actually much better condition than what the sellers pictures indicated.

They are ATS, i didn't want to have classics as everyone has them so i thought i would get these instead and i love them. They are 13x6, with a 4x100 pcd and ET32 so should be great on my Mk2 coupe. They have all the original full metal centre caps. They are not curbed at all just water has got under the lacquer and made them a mess. Want them to be restored to there former glory in exactly the same way as they are now. Just fresh. Diamond cut and lacquer??

Let me know what you all think...... hopes you like

Also i want to get them refurbed properly and i dont mind paying. I want to have them diamond cut and lacquered i think but is there anyone around Yorkshire or close to Leeds that anyone could recommend?? I know there is such places like BJV and pureKlas but they are all far away and i don't want to have to courier the wheels up and down the country.

Sweet man, they will look well on your MkII.

good find, how much did they cost?

price is in description mate 40notes

aye johnny boy open them eyes

I'm so glad these aint classics or cups yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn, they actually look sweet, you got all the centre caps?

i reckon get it diamond cut, but get the centres black and the outer ring (not the lip) in black too, it should look sweet by breaking up the rim

otherwise just get them recut and laquered...

how about colour coded centres?

I'm sure i posted in this thread, wheres it gone?

Yeah i have all four centre caps for the wheels. I am thinking about getting them refurbed just as they are. Maybe something different regards the centre caps ut i am not sure yet.

They were £40 bargain some might say.

I am yet to see another set as well. Classics and cups have been worn out in my eyes. Nice but i had to be different :-)

Sam i have no idea where your post went?? What did you say??

Should look sweet when they have been refurbed. Anyone know of anywhere good to have them done that isn't like over 100 miles away :-)

Thanks for all teh comments by the way ;)

I've had a long day, washed and polished 3 cars and fitted a new rear box on my bird piece of crap tigra! real good bargain though! even if they are pro refurbed they are still gonna be cheap wheels! should suite the mk2 down to the ground!

washing cars eh? fancy doing a detailing session for me tomorrow, I'm a tres lazy barsteward

They look mint. Look like a non-split rim version of those Zenders. Well, they aren't actually split rims, but they look like them, lol..

None the less, £40 well spent!!

MIRROR POLISHED OR DIAMOND CUT?

Thats the question facing us folks. And the inside of the cutouts - black or colour coded? Its a helious blue car, so theres not much difference anyways...

Exactly as they are but refurbed obviously.

I think that to do the wheels justice i will have them refurbed exactly as they are now. Just fresh.

Colour coding them tiny bits wouldn't be all that noticable so i may just have them black as they were.

Glad everyone likes them as much as i do. I thought they were going to be real shitters but i am really pleased in the condition as its only a lot of lacquer peel and metal discolouration nothing more!!

I don't think polished wheels would suit the Mk2....like the thought but i can't see it.

:-)
