Well i took the Turbos off yesterday for Winter, and i had quite bad scrubbage issues with the 175/50x15's on the rear 7.5j Rims, So while i was having the tyres taken off so i can send the Wheels away for a change, i asked my tyre fitter nicely if he could put the 165/50 BridgeStones on there,

This was the Result!

Was well chuffed, i can now go a tad bit lower on the back and had no scrubbing with it sat as it was!

So it can be done! 165/50x15 onto a 7.5J Rim!

nice stretch but the tyres luk waaaaay to skinny, should have kept the 175s and instead of paying for them tyres got your wheel arches rolled so it wont rub and can be lowered from the near enough standard ride height...

Got plans for the rear arches, but the wheels arnt going bk on now until next rear, so iv got quite a while to sort something out. :-)
