Being revoked is different to a disqualification so you don't have to have the extended test. Disqualified means you definately can't drive for a period of time, revoked..you can get your licence back as soon as you get a cancellation at the test centre for theory and practical. This new drivers law is there to sort out those new drivers who think they already know it all and can drive how they like once they pass, obviously its aimed at young drivers mostly.

I'm waiting for a court letter, for a date to appear, for driving affence's, cut a long story, over took a police car at around 34 in a 30, then it followed me realy close, and kept flashing headlights, i was intimedated and scared for my saftey so a sped up a little, and then the lights came on, and they said i was doing 65 in a 30, but no video evidance. so its the waiting game for me, been 3weeks and nothing yet.

dont kno what I'm facing, just fingers crossed for 3points and a fine. or just a fine.

I had 3 points for driving a moped without any L's before i passed my test, and last week got caught by a copper with a gun hiding in a slip road. So it adds up to 6! No one knows if the 3 before i passed count, I'm thinking they do so am expecting a letter to come through! Yeah as soon as i get the letter I'm going to apply for a new provisional and book a theory, and then try to get a cancellation on the test. Gotta try and remember how to feed the wheel though lol!

Thats exactly what i have got, driving not in accordance. Its stupid they shouldnt count. But anyhow just got to do my god dam test again now.

Here's a clue - it says 40 on the sign.

Speed limit + 10% + 1 used to be pretty much accepted as ok at the officer's discretion. But they don't all play like that anymore.

i know that feeling, wss driving home from my parents doing 55 in a 60 limit and a car came speeding up behind me with its lights on full, so i decided to blow them away, which i did, then i got to a 40 zone near my house so slowed to just under 40, car came speeding up again, but this time i noticed with a bit of help from the street lighting that it was a panda car. anyway they stayed half a car length off my rear bumper, so i decided not to go home but to go down some back roads i know well, at which point i lost them. was really pissed off cos i had done nothing wrong and it could so easilly have been my bird driving the car. i would have prefered them to pull me over instead of attempting to intimidate me in their crappy panda car

Given that construction and use only states speedos must be accurate to 10% how can they convict you for being over by 10%? You could perfectly legitimately have bought a brand new car and be strictly adhering to the speed limit. I was pretty sire thats why 10% existed in the first place. I know nowadays speedos tend to underread, but that isnt the point the law doesnt say they have to, so the law should be able to convict you for effectively being within the law.
