hi guys, ok, here the store, i'we been away in the army for 2 months in a row, and now i come home, there is water in all footwells and under the backseat, and the seats are rotten, and there was actually water drops in the roof to :S bloody fucking water everywhere :S what should i do?

drill a hole in each footwell, remove all seats and carpet. strip the seats of their covers you should be able to wash then and dry them out. the sponge bits take a while to dry . once the car is dry and youve solved the leak then refit the seats and carpet and dont forget to fill up the holes!

I thought they may have been the usual water pipe blockage on the sunroof.

Is the battery tray (behind the battery) all in tact? or the rear lights leaking?

you have to fix the reason it is leaking! when my gt was flooded four holes were drilled to let the water out, once it was dry the holes were welded up and undersealed. my guess is water getting in through door seals. i had a polo fox that would leak water if i parked it at a certain angle and the seatbelt would become soaked.

jeah, i fixed the doors with a hole lot af silicone :p have not checked that will do now, thanx

take the door card off and make sure the plastic liner is intact, if not you can make another one out of some polythene sheet and use double sided sticky tape, this is what stops the water that runs down the glass from going outside the car and not in! other than that as said battery tray and door rubbers make sure they arn't split. not many other places if you dont have a sunroof.

I know how annoying it is to have a leaky car! especially in winter when the inside of the windows get ice on them!

Yup, that'll be it. When you remove doorcards, plastic cover that stops you touching window glass.

My old car never had any and it never leaked! Just lucky i guess.

anyway i have desided to sell te polo for a golf 1 gti cab maybe have the polo just in case, i do love it a bit :p
