just for the record, all 3 sets I've seen have been anthracite grey and had "volkswagen" text in the centre cap badge

the 423 are 15 inch and 4 x 108 Audi fitment ET45 (i see the listing is wrong too.. lol) :ninja:

right style though ;)

Yeah thought they may carry the same model number.

Possibly the 'gayest' fitment with respect to vw.

These on the other hand these are nie on perfect (minus 15inch but would look better)

OMG! if they were 14" id have bought them already!

I'm still not convinced on 15's on a Mk3 Coupe

anyone wanna convince me with piccys? lol

15's, 40mm drop on mk3 coupe... ?

15's fit the arch well i think, got 60/40 drop on my mk3 blue coupe.. Can take a pic later :)

do they look OEM though?

Take a look for yourself:

PVW editor called it 'definitive OEM+' n man of the moment 'Stanton' said it 'look mint, looks fresh - like a factory special'

Tyre choice / Offset / Ride height are all key.

its looks good but (me personally) i dont think it really looks like it would have been released from the factory in 1993 like it..

if by OEM+ you mean "looks like it could have rolled out of a factory in 2007" then id agree :)

just my opinion!

OEM+ is such a diverse term imo

it means so many different things to different people

i wouldnt say those splitties look oem in the slightest, and sebrings look like volvo alloys...

i think those wheels in 15s would look nice on a mk3 with a small drop...

and you dont need approval from a scene queen like stanton, his posts make me want to puke... man of the moment... stuey youve got some turd on your nose, ryans been dribbling ;)

I'm not in it for scene points. i build cars for me tbh...

for real

Modification/Addition using parts of Original Equipment Manufacture, pretty straight forward to me.

Haha, not quite sure what you mean by this but it sounds pretty funny all the same.

Was merely trying to demonstrate with the use of other peoples opinions and not mine 15 inch wheels can look OEM with right tyres/drop/offsets.

Car's been entirely styled for me and me only, hence 'the volvo' wheels as 'grungeisdead' puts it. Hardly polished BBS RM/RS's par example.

I think its the 'scene' term thats thrown around too much.

Ahhhhhh! Sebrings lok like Volvo alloys?! insult! Ouch!

Sebrings are as OEM+ as it gets, retro wheel with fuck loads of character, but still simple and attractive, and came of a Rallye!!

Nuff Said!

Preach mex!

but do you think VW would have sold a car with stretched 165 tyres in 1993? :?

My opinion of OEM+ is a car that looks as though it was a factory special edition. and to the untrained (and even some trained eyes) doesnt even look "modified"

anyways... anyone had any luck with the 14" versions of the above wheels (the speedlines, not the Sebrings)?

as opposed to coming from a Corrado? :ninja:

Probably not but i doubt they would have put 195/45/15's on it either as they wanna keep the rolling radius as close to standard to keep speedo accuracy. Plus 165/50/15's are pretty much designed for 5-6J rims and hardly stretched.

Anyways good luck in the search, ebay.de is gunna be your friend on this one.
