I do have plans for the polo. I am in the learning process right now. We don't have anything like them here so not much info to go by. I owned the Golf for 12 months. Went from bone stock to that in about 8 months.

Good to see someone posting from the States, welcome dude

I love the Golf id have kept that! but if the Polo is a rarity over there i supose that makes it more special

ste go wash your mouth out, id have that mk1 polo over the golf EVERY day of the week and he got a sweet jeep thrown in too :D

as for advice and knowledge about the polo mate, youve come to the right place, i just hope we can give you all the information you need to turn that polo into a true beauty (if thats even possible from what it is now)

what is the dub scene like around where you guys are? quite a few shows? are they mainly aircooled cali styles and new motorS?

I have learned alot already about the polo. I am going to start tearing into it myself here soon. The scene around me (northeast US) is pretty big. We have some huge shows like Waterfest and H2Oi, then bunches of smaller shows. And that is all watercooled. I don't do much with aircooled. I think H2Oi had about 1100 show cars this year. Just in my town alone we put a show together for the first time ever and got about 250 watercooled. So there is a pretty healthy scene around here. I have been in it for a good 10-11 years.

I loved the golf, great daily driver. The OZs were awesome, it was just time for a change. I have a thing for having rare parts let alone rare cars. The polo fit the bill.

got any more piccies of the harley? now thats a machine for your american roads

we dream of smooth tarmac here in britan, not that youd be phased in the jeep, have you had a chance to take that off road?

sorry for 101 questions I'm just intrigued at whats going down in states, i seen pics of waterfest in one of the dub fests and it looked schaweet.

whats it like for other polos there? do you see any mk2 or mk3 polos or newer ones? or any g40s?

love the US look I'm kinda takin my Polo in that direction even thou they arent sold over there!

I don't mind the questions. I will have my fair share as I do more to the polo.

I have some pictures from when I first got the Harley. I have changed a few little things on it since them. Trust me, the roads in Pennsylvania leave alot to be desired. I haven't had this jeep offroad yet. This is the second cherokee I have owned though. There really aren't many polos here. Mine is one of about 6 over here. mk2 & 3 are too new to have imported. They have to be older than 25 years to be exempt from emissions and safety requirements.

Any progress yet Devin? I can't wait to see what you have in store.

I think we both made out pretty nicely on that deal. Now that I've had time in the Golf, it's leaving a smile on my face daily. Cars like Polos are VERY hard to sell over here because of the lack of support/parts. Everyone wanted it but seemed to be afraid of it. I was also weary to let it go to abusive hands. I have complete faith that it is in good hands today.

Only thing changed on the Golf is tint on the windows and a Thule444 (which I should've bought off you from the start! Lol). Also took off the header. I'm looking for stock motormounts to replace the polys with. I'm gettin old and need that 'old man' car feel. Hahaha.

here's an oldie but a goodie

must be an effort getting into that jeep ey with no side steps! the interior of the golf mk3 is well nice.
