Just after passing my test :-D and modding my polo I been looking for insurance and what a rip off some over £4000 but never under £2000.

So what companies do you suggest that allow modified cars?

yeah i agree with that ^^ ,

some people will have different opinions thats just mine.

quinn direct ar epretty good, thats who I'm with, but tbh if its wheels and lowering dont declare your mods as youll never get pulled really,. when my last car was written off, they never looked at it properly in detial

i was "uninsured" (insured but didnt declare mods!!) with norwich union when i past my test for £1100 tpft @ 17, no ncb, new driver on my own policy. that was with pass plus discount of 48%!!

I'm havin same problem with insurance companies raping my arse.. for a mk3 1.3 they're quoting like 4k? i mean the car only worth 750 at max how can they justify that.

just got a mk5 polo gti, full comp insurance for £953. I've got no no-claims but i have been driving for 5 years (on parents policy). it would have been £850 but i put my other half on who has 3 points for speeding! if she didnt have that it would probably have took the price down! the policy is with bell, cheapest i could find. got my dad on thre too to knock the price down (always a good trick!) would ahve put mother on but she has points too!!

GIVE THEM A CALL THEY QUOTED ME OVER £1000 LESS THAN I CURRENTLY PAY FOR MY GT AN G40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They do an awesome package which allows u to make any mods aesthetically and on the engine mod front the packages are grouped so the first group allows u 100bhp in a GT good luck getin a GT over that mines only 90ish n doubt i could find anutha 10BHP with out some DRASTIC changes!!!
