I know your supposed to give to way to busses but they normally act like they own the road. Like if your half way past them and they start indicating they ALWAYS start to pull out and forwards! Dangerous and stupid.

I's ridiculous!

we do own the road, we have to pull out cos no one gives way. they can see the indicator but instead of slowin down to to give way they start to accelerate more to force their way round. if we dnt start pullin out we'll b there all day, then passengers start moanin about how long they been waitin.

jus taking my right of way, obviously if someone has gone half way past me i wont move until I'm clear.

but if you think a bus is pullin away dangerously and is in the wrong dont give way and if the bus collides into you.

then if the bus driver is found to be at fault by the insurance you will get PAID. bigtime claim 4 wiplash n trauma.

I've neva had an accident in my car but I've written 3 cars off none of which were my fault. car drivers had to be pay 4 da minor damage to the bus plus compensate the time the bus was out of service.

you can fail your driving test by not giving way to a bus. observation. failiure to observe a hasard and not giving way to priority vehicle

I got on a bus the other day, innocently wanting to go to town, showed my pass to get it cheaper and the driver charged me full. I then told him i had a pass and he starts swearing at me saying things like 'your all the fucking same you lot' and 'your generation are all a bunch of fucking idiots'.

I could have set the fucker on fire.

u should of. u know u can report him. jus take the bus number and the time of the incident and write to tfl. the driver giv all drivers a bad name.

i used to live in ilford and there are so many arseholes round there that if i was a bus driver id drive like a idiot, i always let buses out cos I'm never usually in a rush and driving down europes busiest bus route every day you get to see loads of collisions... most drivers think they can chance with a bus... i dont however because teh bus is bigger

Cyclist in traffic is like a person in a bull run.

tell me about it, we used to do the bike runs for years in manc, one of my good mates was riding in a cycle lane, driver let the pedestrians off at a set of lights and mike went straight into someone who just nonchalantly walked off teh bus without looking, silly t**ser served him reet

Yeah but when you spend every penny on your car your natural reaction to anyone going to damage it is to avoid it.

Plus I'm sure if a bus collides with you, the car driver will some how end up with the blame because of the whole right of way rule.

I know its my right of way but I can't knowingly crash my car if it can be avoided.

I always let buses out. I always let other cars out. Letting one or two people in front of your doesn't actually effect your journey time enough to warrent not let them out. Plus its just rude.

I'm not saying YOUR a bad bus driver, but there are so many miserable nice people who think they own the road and think that regardless of who is around them or how safe what they are doing they will just do it anyway. Theres having right of way and using it and then theres just being an arrogant idiot and twisting them meaning of 'right of way'.

I tried, i wrote down the bus number and asked his name when i got off and he gave me some mickey mouse name.

I reported him and fuck all happened to the driver as far as I'm aware.

I wrote a letter of complaint to my local bus service about the driver. I gave the number plate, some number that was on the back and front of the bus, where it innocent happened, what the driver looked like and the time and they didn't even have the common courtesy to reply.

buses have got cameras on them and if it was the bus drivers fault theres no way of gettin out of it as there is concrete evidence. but in most cases it is the car driver who is at fault. camera doesnt lie.

i always show gratitude when someone kindly gives me way, simply flick my hazards and stick my hands out showin a thumbs up to say thank u.

cars drivers in eastlondon n ilford and complete wankers, i bet half of them dnt even have i license.

there r many drivers who drive dangerously and use the size of their bus to indimidate other road users. but we constantly have undercover dsa officials boardin our buses checking our driving. so if these drivers carryon doin what u say their doin, they will not be in the job 4 long.

I'm not worried as I've been appraised many times for my safe driving and customer service.

one of the most annoying things they do is crawl along at 15 mph cos somehow the are too early for the next stop!!

go figure

Bus drivers in Birmingham are mental. They pull out in front of you as you go round a roundabout - and you have to slow down to avoid hitting them. And then you get a look from them which says 'I'm bigger than you - what are you going to do?'
