Could go to G40 calipers and vented discs. GT brakes are the same as all non-G40s if you didn't know.

Above that you have 256mm, 280mm and so on.

i'm running bbs ra's so clearense isnt a problem, so my brakes at the moment would be the same as a gt's or a 1.3's? that rite?

hmm not easy to track down these g40 brakes are they......

Yeah, pretty much. If you own the car I think you do, it will have 15" RAs - so yeah, you'd get away with 280mm discs, but that would probably be overkill on a G40 let alone a GT.

Dan Knight is selling some g40 brakes and carriers just now, check the parts for sale section.

Also i believe a guy from Germany is selling a set as well, Guddig40. Will be in the same section.

it wont be happening yet, got the engine to pay for first. was thinking of crawling he scrapy but duno whats compatible.

and yes its, steviedavidsons old motor, now has white boot bk on, badgless grille and clear front indi's, oh and a blown head gasket! lol

the g40 brake setup is identical to mk1 golf gtis, those setup go for pennies...

failing that buy my 280mm G60 setup that will bolt straight on your polo, all you need is some discs and pads...

overkill yes, but start on the brakes and then upgrade the engine to match :D instead of the other way round wooop

so if i got mk1 gti calipers, discs and pads, braded hoses, it would all work ok?
