can you put 12 inch rims on a mk3 polo

has it been done or will the brake calipers clip the wheels

Don't think it's been done. You might be able to make custom carriers and trim the calipers and the insides of the wheels, but not really a good idea.

It begs the question, why?

arr theres not much point if its gunna be aload of work and if dangerus on the wheels i might not haha

Just put some 13's on...they are the correct sized wheels for the car.

Smoors are a good choice...not too common. They come in the correct offsets and PCD for a Polo.

Think about your gearing, on 12s it would be all over the place! Plus it would be impossible to get it low enough to look good. Plus you wouldn't get them over the brakes.
