hi

i got a quote to get a pair of 16v bumpers sprayed in white today and it was £210. is this not a bit on the expeensive side. i thought i would be looking at around £130.

any opinions

Very expensive IMO. Look elsewhere.

i wudnt pay it but i know a bargin place who i must say did a top notch respray i needed and i fluttered my eyelashes too

got another quote and they want 352

hmmm i'd say standard bodyshop prices would be around £100 per bumper if it was just spraying no filler work etc. shop around like everyone else has said and try some little back street bodyshops sometimes they can be cheap and their work very good! be careful though ask to see examples of their work etc first.

£210 for 2 bumpers ? i'd HAPPILY pay that much!

with a bodyshop i know they'll still charge £150-200 for one bumper!

£100 per bumper is the cheapest you will find. But you get what you pay for

I found one for £65 and thats a good recommended bodyshop.

I'm getting done this week.

2x Front Wings (Repainted)

2x Patches of rust (Under sills were its scraped)

1x "popped blister" on the top of my back passenger door (yea its 5 door!)

1x patch of scratches on drivers side rear quarter.

My Quote was £145

Actually, now I think about ut £105 a bumper isn't that bad.

if thats with paint included i think thats not bad remember the more u pay the better quality u will get !!!!!

i might aswell get some VW rattle cans and see what the result will be with them. if its not good i could then get them resprayed from a pro.

I work in a body shop and we would charge £80 a bumper for a straight colour ( white) and £100 a bumper for met.

I wouldnt even attempt spraying them with spray cans, you will f**k them up. It will cost you around £50 in spray cans, is it worth it mate...........

i got quoted £200 for front 16v bumper to be smoothed completely, except the centre grill and resprayed from balck to blue

p.s dont do it yourslef youl want to kill your self afterwards

£100 - 150 is about the going rate round here for a bumper i charge around £100 + vat for a bumper scuff

£210 is a good price i'd go with that

if you try rattle cans the price mat go up if they ave to do more work to fix your attempt i know mine would if i was quoting

bodywork isn't cheap and will be going up with the new rules on paint
