Ash tray not sitting right??

well i didnt notice until i saw a few others but the ash tray isnt sitting right in my car as the lid doesnt shut flush

is there any reason for this or how is it held in? is there any adjustment? or how can i have a play around with it to get it right?

ill get in about it one lunch time this week mate and see if i can solve it, didnt even bother me till i noticed it was different to my mates gti lol
