Featured Replies

As above, how have you all smoothed out your filler caps on Mk4's???

Have you gont down the cut and filler route, or fitted one from else where?

Looking for ideas here.

Cheers

Mines smooth as standard...?

U mean flushed in?

Yea, without the little lip for you to get you finger behind to open up.

As i said I'm looking in to it as a relatively simple mod?

Either that or a TT fuel cap but how hard would that be? anyone done it??

Cheers

best way is leaving it on the car as getting the petrol cap on and off is a bit of a nightmare. anyway you need to get yourself another petrol cap from a car at the scrappy or something then cut the finger hole bit out on your one, get a piece of the other cao you have to fit in the gap, plastic weld them together, sand that back, bit of filler etc till you're happy with the shape then primer paint and you should have one smoothed petrol cap!
