Hello all

Just though I would post a couple of pictures of my G40 converion now its on the road.

I have been collecting parts over the last couple of years, changing direction all to often and finally deciding on a very standard appearance.

Motor is low milage approx 25k, having been sat in a garage for about 10 years. Car was a one owner example in very good condition making it an ideal conversion candidate. Steering and suspension has been fully rebuilt and is is lowered 40mm using Koni shocks. Obvious ATS Cups. Interior is the rare late GT version (not everones taste but slightly different). Motor is standard apart from PSD Toothed Belts, Jabba Induction Kit, De-cat and Boost Return Mod.

Indian Red G40? NOICE! Look best in that colour. The colour is just one of those that means you don't really have to do anything to the car cause it looks fine as is. Just a bit of lowering and some nice wheels and your sorted.

It´s a Röhm Motorsport rocker cover.

Very nice car mate, looks like you've done a good job. Just 1 thing though, if you're running a toothed belt kit

(i presume with a 65m pulley) have you got a chip/ injectors done too? I strongly advise that you invest in some if you have'nt yet mate, to avoid leaning her out too much! Thats all mate. Again- looking very nice! Matt

Hello there

Thanks for all the positive comments, I know things like wheels are personal taste and for me cups were something I wanted. I steered away from things like classics, half colour coded bumpers, mirrors and plinths and concentrated on locating original trim for a much more plain approach. It may appear to have been a simple drop an engine in conversion, but it has had every piece of the suspension, brakes and steering renewed, including nuts and bolts, new fuel tank, pumps, etc. The interior was replaced, including the headliner, only after being thoroughly cleaned. The end result is the car drives almost as new. The reality is the local dealer, powder coaters and ebay have sapped a small fortune from me, it is surprising how much this project has cost compared with others over the years.

Thanks also for the constructive advice, now the car is running I can turn my attention to things like injectors, new chip and full blend on the charger. To be honest I had to buy the engine a bit blind not able to see it running. It certainly looked genuine at the time and the gamble appears to have paid off, as it runs very well indeed.

got to say that is gorgeous I like it alot that is probs my fave mk3 at the mo dont know why just fel in love as soon as I saw the pic.
