He's my GT...

Had it about 4 months now. Bought this with the intention a conversion onto my mint 1.0.

I decided to keep him and make him a little nicer.. Its not a minter and very much doubt it ever will be. But its quick as hell!!

Year/Reg: 1990/H

Mileage:128k

Good points: Engine is as strong as hell... 95 BHP Easy. Mechanical wise its faultless. Interior is spotless with mint bolsters too!!!

Bad points: Rusty and dinted beyond my help. Needs a full respray.. ideally (not gonna happen)

Since owning the car: New suspension 60mm all round, Rebuilt top end (stem seals, relap etc), Major service (oil, plugs, HT's, cambelt, waterpump, headgasket etc) Powerflow exhaust with powerflex hangers all round, G40 exhaust manni with De-cat, Golf GTi AFM & Coil, Stainless steel mesh induction kit, BBS RJ with 195/45 conti's+spacers to suit, Solid engine mount, 8k Rev chip, P&P + De-wedged throttle body and derestricted air intake elbow, All red rear lights, uprated LED RED bulbs for interior, White(blue looking) LED sidelights with 80% brighter phillips H4's. LED Number plate lights. G40 disks and calipers with 22m Master cylinder. Fully rebuilt rear drums, New handbrake cable, 8K rev clocks and the ONLY 2nd pair of 130mph clocks (thanks DK <3) I've changed x3 body pannals too (it really was a shitter when I got it) Alpine headunit, Uprated JBL standard speakers (front and back) with alpine Tuner sub, clutch cable, De-badged Grill and GED front brace, single wiper, Klaxon Horn, Rerto racing steering wheel (mounty) and boss, clear front and side indicators.

Think thats it all.. So I bought a cheap car and spent lots and lots!! Looking at that list i've probably spent 500+

Safe to say that he tells truth.....this car is quick as hell for a GT and pulls hard like a hugarian shot putter turned prostitute.

Love this car and he gives the bodywork such a hard time......the bitch is cleaner than he makes out!!

What you mean? I had a G40 inlet and didn't like it.. No power above 6k.

I can vouch for this car being quick as hell, torque steer is fun and it seems to rather enjoy meeting mr limitay hehe... And he does put it down too much, the body isnt that bad at all. Just needs a damn good wash and some attention with the right products.

Rich are there any decent photos from the other location with the city in the background? Think we need to borrow some lighting from somewhere...

I'm not ashamed as such. The car is a great car, Just obviously had an unlucky life.

Its got prangs on every panel like I said. Someone with bodyshop knowledge would sort it in no time soon. The actual paintwork is very good, its just got a lot of parking dings.

I like this car, looks nice! And you do give the bodywork a hard time! It seems alright! The bonnet is a bit ragged like tho. Didnt get to see how quick it was tho. Nice moody pics Rich.
