The car as it stands now

i've already got the lorbers on teh car at the moment with near new eagle f1s so id like to keep them but i cant help think that 14s are the ideal wheel for mk1 after my last gti was on 14s and handled like it REALLY should. however my splitter is going to take a beating and I've already managed to scrape my manifold :(

15 x 7 JDM Lorbers

All silver

All black

black centres polished rim

14 x 8 Borbet T's - can swap these painted all black for the lorbers

all black

all polished

15 x 7 Randoms... will be getting these saturday, thinking black with a polished lip

Sooo any opinions please? I'm indecisive and will probably go for the borbets but they lorbers seem pretty rare i struggled to find those pics of the wheels and cant find them new anywhere!

If you keep the lorbers, do them motorsport white. It will look great. All black borbets wil also look ace, assuming its satin or matte black. If you get the last set, polish the centres and have black lips

I've always loved a set of borbet ts

the last set are ET25 iirc which means i wont have to run spacers to clear the brakes (my current lorbers are ET33 and i have to run 8mm spacays to clear the caliper)

colour coding the rims would be a pain as its an audi colour and I'm not sure i could get a match...

i forgot to say that i LOVE white wheels, fucking love them since my rally slag days, i might do the last ones white with a polished dish, then i can just swap over the tyres onto them and refurb the lorbers...

white wouldnt suit your car dude, the black theme looks ace, so keep the lorbers in black or get the borbets n keep them black.

black borbets are noooice, i reckon would look good aswell not to much unlike what u got, jst wider and smaller, would b cool as tho!

the borbets look amazing polished... i think i might take andy up on his offer of the swap and just refurb the randoms up over winter

more time working on em means ill have longer to mull over what finish I'm gonna do em in

these are the borbets in question, you can just see how they sit on the mk1 arch so shouldnt have any probs from the plod, just hope my archs dont take a beating

right decided borbet ts arent happening, will be refurbing the randoms then swapping tyres, refurbing the lorbers then sell em

dont think ill be rolling with the centres

i think they will suit you car the most. centers are well funny haha

yeh they are a little poncey haha spesh with the gold, ill be rocking without em i reckon or just get some flat ones made up

think the centres would be ok if they were painted and have diff badges
