MK3 PROBLEM

Featured Replies

basically, i bought some chinese door handles to put on the genesis. and they wont open when i fit them, they lock fine, it just wont open.

and the handle wobbles.

me being the royal penis i am, shut the door. and it wont open.

there is a small amount of rust around the whole where the handles goes in.

could that be it making it flex?

HELP!

I'm had a similar problem with the normal doorhandles. I used the wrong screws to put them back on(not the orignals) an then were loose and the door wouldnt budge :p

I'm not the only person finding that chinese door handles are an arse then? Fitted the drivers side one to my GT, only to find I can't lock it from the outside (unlocks fine, which means climbing out the passenger door after locking it from the inside) and it also wobbles about a bit...

Crap design maybe?

i have a chinese handle on my passenger door and a normal one on my drivers door because my drivers door has a small dent in it and so will not lock! ni have to wait til i get a respray to put a new door on it!!! :-( but yer they are a crap design i reckon but they are cool!

Open your boot and climb in then open the doors from the inside. If you cant get in through the boot mk3's arent exactly difficult to break into.

A jiggler is enough to open all 3 locks

Can't get the ignition round though
