basically, i bought some chinese door handles to put on the genesis. and they wont open when i fit them, they lock fine, it just wont open.

and the handle wobbles.

me being the royal penis i am, shut the door. and it wont open. at all. and its the drivers door.

there is a small amount of rust around the hole where the handles goes in.

could that be it making it flex?

Take the handles of form the exterior ..

Iff you had standard Mk3 Handles i could probabbly help but dont know what these look like or how they would fit .

As far as I'm aware the chinese door handles take a little bit of fabrication. If the door won't open then theres obviously something not connected or in place.

I assume you have removed the door card to see the internals?

you have to remove the "flipper" part from the original handles and fit it to the chinese handles. Takes a bit of messing about but does work. I can't remember the exact process as it was years ago I fitted mine to my G40 but I remember also having to bend the striker plate inside the door that the flipper pushes on to get it in the right position for the handles to work.
