WFT!!!! How can a driving licence be repossessed, what law is this, is it in the small print?...clearly they dont know i can drive again now and still think i have had it revoked....not a happy bunny as now have to make phonecalls and fax solicitors letters to prove i can drive on a full licence.....how ridiculous..i tell you they need me in there organising their admin department...it wouldn't be so shoddy then.

lol its an official letter believe me...a huge pain in my arse...well not atm coz i dont need my car for another 2 weeks...but still, i need my licence for ID..to prove I'm not 12 haha

The DVLA can withdraw your license if they decide to, have you been banned and if so what was it for as being banned for certain offences can now mean you have to re-apply for your license, in some cases depending on what/if you were banned for they can make you take your test all over again or even the extended test in order to get your full license back.

Man you couold do to catch up. She's a law student, knows the ins and outs, and knows that she has had the ban lifted. She was lamenting their piss poor organisation!

Did you not "win" something recently IIRC? Or was that someone else? Maybe it still has something to do with that?

Yes skatty i know my rights...lol yea i won 5 points lol..well if you call it a win...so technically its my licence, they cant touch it as the judge restored it. I still aint sent it back...on principle....need more angry phonecalls me thinks....although if the police do pop round for my licence it won't actually be there so oh well.

I geberally believe that the DVLA need to get there act together!

They done something very similar to me after I had been to court n sorted all my rubbish out!!

will they ever get off your back? every time i look in this section (which isn't very often) they are screwing you over for some thing else :(

and if you don't want to send it back just tell them you lost it, my ex brother in law did this when he got banned so when his ban was over he had a copy that had no points on it. are you sure its not just for you to have your points put on it tho?

Lol its from the 1st time around...i never sent it back when it got revoked becuase my solicitor told me not to....i need it till the end of the week for ID till i go home for chirstmas then i will send it when i find my passport lol

Lol i actually do complain a hell of alot, highest post count in this section haha.

DVLA are braindead so don't panic! My V5 document on my silver coupe had me as joanthan for at least a couple of months! No matter what i tried, i still got the same response. I even changed it on the V5 itself to read Jonathan but to no avail! Not as though the writing wasn't big enough and not highlighted!

I never got a letter like that when my licence was revoked. So now I have 2 copies of my full licence floating around my house :)

Must have been a right shock to get that letter though. But you should know by now that the DVLA are slow as hell. I'm sure they live in a different time zone!

Lol all sorted, spent 2 hours trying to get through...when i did in my poshest voice explained i was terribly sorry there had been a mix up and had only recently returned from University to find both letters, and as it was the last day they could recieve would the police be calling...lady was very nice said no, and even made it so i didnt have to send my photocard. Dont need my counterpart so it doesnt bother me how long they take to send it back
