SEATS!!!!

Featured Replies

hi guys,

my seats are a bit fooked, they are in good condition so dont wnt new ones but the wire going to the inside of the seat which pulls the mechanism to tilt the chair has gone. I'm guessin jst pinged back up inside the chair, any easy way to fix this problem.

also even before this happened my chairs when locked back were able to wobble a fair bit, is this a normal GT thing or again is there a way of sorting it??

cheers for any advice

Yeah, broken release cables are common as anything for happening. The cable is about £3 from GSF, but you do have to take the cover off the seatback to do it, which can be a bit of an arse of a job.

As for the wobble, if it's the seat back, a nice tight new cable will probably help. If it's the whole seat, the anti wobble clips under the seat are probably missing. Each seat runner should have a bit of plastic in it between the seat and the runner. They're very easy to replace, and cost about 50p from GSF (or about £10 off ebay).
