I'm after 16v bumpers for the mk4 polo, i went on euro car parts uk website and they have some bumpers saying sport, i was wondering if these would be the 16v bumpers

also what sort of parts number will i be looking for if I'm looking for the 16v bumpers

if i were you id go down to a euros branch your self

theye website is confusing with names and stuff but if you go down to one they will sort you out

apparently the sport ones are pattern ones or something, not like the original 16v bumpers. dont like the sport ones TBH

Thats probably because the bumpers came in the Sports package in the rest of Europe, so maybe it is just the english "name" that is confusing?

The 6n polo SE (sports edition) was a 1.6 (i think) 8v that came with a load of extra bits and bobs to make it look good including 16v bumpers.

On that basis would assume sport bumpers are the ones you want. If they're not right you can always return em

The SE is a 1.4 8v

The sports bumper Euro Car Parts are refering to is the bumper that is standard on a 16v bumper but because it also comes as standard in a 1.6 GLX and a 1.4 SE it is simpler to call it a sport because it isn't specific to one model.

thats the bumper i got... however you dont get the bumper grills with that which is a shame... got the bonnet aswel from there with the grill surround.. lights... . bumper came unpainted.. so got that done painted.. however the bonnet came unpainted aswel so left that.. so its more grey.. the lip spoiler i took it off the old bumper and put it on.

how you supposed to know if your buying a genuine 16v bumper and your actually being given a sports edition one??

so for £31 quid you can have the 16v look frotn bumper without the grill and just get them from VW?...

basicly i got the replacement one..cheaper..and doesnt even make a difference... both the same.. dont even know why they got a genuine one...mayb direct from VW... but replacement is just the same... but dont get even bumper grills with them... just the bumper itself unpainted... but can't rely complain.
