MY SUB COOKED ITSELF!

Featured Replies

Basically my brand new 15" inphase sub cooked itself last night! :-(

So i need a new sub to replace this.

The amp i have is a jbl 1201.1 (787rms @ 4 ohms)

I can use the existing enclosure, or if the deal has one with it, then thats still good!

Please help people!

Thanks

Scott

ANYONE?????????????

If its brand new it should be under warranty

well i bought it from a guy off ebay who had it as brand new but never installed it in his car.

i have no warranty with it so i have to replace :-(

hence why i am asking, bloody annoying because it sounded immense!

If you're after a 15" running that sort of power try an Alpine Type R, they drop pretty well, and are being sold pretty cheap on ebay atm!

link?

:-)

mte I've got 2 type r's n i can be heard be I'm seen.ridiculous bass.now I'm gona upgrade to to type x;s!! lol

PM ME A PRICE MATE!

oh and that link doesnt work mate!

That's the only one at the mo on ebay, but there's a few ICE dealers that do them pretty cheap too. Search Digital audio, or a personal fave caraudiocentre.co.uk they give top advice too so give them a ring, they'll hook you up

What's a 15" like in a polo by the way??

ah ok cool ta man.

ha, lets just say beautiful and your balls vibrate! haha.

the roof moves like fuck!

:-)

RIP old sub.

dont suppose you'd know why this happened mate?

according to the main man aka mbh69 lol its all to do with the amp settings being too high.

still would like people to find me a new sub! max 787rms at 4 ohms, 15"! thanks

ANYONE?

BUMP!!!!

your amp does better at 2ohm than 4 ;)

make the most get a dual 4 ohm sub so you can run your amp at 2 ohm and get 1200 rms out of it ;)

put it in a custom ported box and you'll be deaf ;)

the RE sub i linked to is amazing value for money and they are awesome subs that would be my vote over most £300 subs ;)

buy my Pioneer SPL Champ Pro Series Subs 12" each.. 6000watts..3000 RMS...also giv u a kenwood amp with that... if intrested let me know..pm

the mx's are very comparable to the xxxv3 they do awesome spl and sq of reasnable power in reasnable sized enclosures

they will easily take between 1500 -3000 rms all day long my main competitior is running 4 x 18" mx's and he does extremely well although he has alot more experience and his install has number in mind

but yeah it's a steal you can't go wrong ;)

decent enclosure and decent power you'll be very impressed i have been with well designed ones 's ;)

how much subs have u got in you are ride mbh69..sorry mate dont know your name lol..

my names martin i have 8 x 12" i did have oz audio matrix elites but there being sold off now and being replaced by some triple stack star sound monsters ;)
