if its a genuine roll cage not a show cage then i woudl align the whoel thing before drilling/welding anything

they're either usually welded in or bolted.

what sort of roll cage?

usually, weld supports to various points in the car and then bolt the cage to them. It's not an easy job to do yourself and involves a lot of building the cage in the car, measuring things, removing the cage then putting it back in etc....

its this one I'm looking to get only to get the interior up to standard now as the exterior is basically done - well sort of lol
