hi i have a mosfet amp in ma car an in the amplifier there are two fuses both 30amp. my amp stopped working yesterday an i noticed that the two 30amp fuses were blown. i replace them just now and hey blew up again. i dont know why this is happenin please help thank

could be that your amp is shorthing out somewhere. Check the power lead from the battery to ensure theres no splits/cracks in the cable.

If its not that, you've either got the gain up way too much or the amps dodgy!

usually do that when there dead either replace or get fixed

like you are amp should have some little knobs on it, gain (basically volume tbh )is like how much is pumping out to your sub if its too much the amp is draining too much current from the battery and could be leading to the fuses blowing out so turn it down a bit which will make you are sub volume lower but could solve the problem

if that doesnt help make sure all your wires are connected properly and not touching other wires that go to the amp.

yep jus checkd everything an everything ok. I'm gonna try some new 30amp hope it solves it. the bass knobs are are down to the minimum. what is still dont work then???

yeah you are right man gain is not volume but i was explaining the gain knob is like a volume knob if u turn it down it goes down lol

erm maybe it might I'm not sure but it might have something to do with the remote wire but i just thought that turns the sub on when u switch the head unit on ....soooo it could be crossing with earch somehow so when u swiching you are headunit on its causing a short circuit maybe ?

thats more likely if the wiring is anything like mine just stripped wire placed into them crappy plastic screw terminal blocks lol !

yea its jus split and taped up il check that to. normally when i switch the head unit on the there is thud noise and that tells me the amp and sub is on. but it dont do that no more

yeah that could be the problem, i know i been there too many times i dont learn tho lol !

yeah that thud noise is coz of the frequency of the headunit switching on its coliding with the frequecny of the components in the amp like the mosfets and other components which is then blasted thru the sub lol

no problem. il check behind the head unit an tape all wires properly shall leave the fuses out untill everyfin checked then put the fuses in thanks
