Right i previously found out my licence was revoked due to being pulled over by a police officer and having my car impounded ..

I had my test on the 2nd january but now havea court apperance on the 12jan so have had to cancel my test .

I'm gutted to say the least .

Does anyone know how i may stand on charges of drivig with no licence and insurance ..

Bearing in mind i was unaware of this at the time and i have had a great convenience not driving for the past 4 months and it is effecting my job .

Will i get 6 points therfore resulting in a ban ontop of my revokation ? Huge Fine ?

God Damn this is a bitch just as i thaught i would be getting back on the road something else happens ..

DOnt even want to drive now to be honest .. Its too expensive and the laws surrounding it are luidcris

what was the reason for having your license revoked, as a motoring conviction is usually the reason behind having it revoked.

I just told my insurance about the points, the date I got them and so on.

The points I got revoked my licence but they never asked that so i never told them.

They ask if you have been banned but a revoked licence isn't a ban as such because, if you are quick and probably really rich you could have a licence back in just 3 days technically, whos ever heard of a 3 day ban?

So just declare your points and that will be it.

Hows it looking for getting your licence back, having lessons and shizz?

Looking at insurance quates I'm rather happy as they arnt much over £1000 for a Mk2 Coupe S

after one year of driving, i got charged with no insurance on a mini moto.

got given 6 points which meant my licence was revoked. when pricing insurance i just put what date i got my points and that it was an IN10.

they didnt ask at all about weather or not my licence was revoked..

I never told them it was revoked...rang them said things have changed...got 5 points and no job, they said fine we will make a note of it for your renewel, but then again i kept my insurance going even when i couldnt drive...little chavs near me would have the car if it wasnt

Anyone know anything about my new charge ??

HOW??? I'm payin £1600 on a mk2 coupe s with 6 points after havin my licence revoked! mine were all low til i actually tired to take them then i had to ring up and they went up bout 300-1000!!!

He got 2 speeding tickets in his first 2 years...he didnt know about the 2nd one as his ex gf was being arsey and threw away his mail, so didnt know his licence was revoked. so he got pulled over for having no licence unaware of the fact he had no licence...he rapplied for his prov, now he has his test but has had to cancel it as most likely going to get a proper ban for driving with licence or insurance, but only because he didnt realise, it wasnt a rebelious thing.

Mags are ordinary people, they may have a heart and accept that your ex threw your mail away and you really didnt know, but just hope to god your not the last case before lunch, thats why the hammered me so much, i was in their lunch break

check every word in the police paperwork too, i didnt realise until after but the 2 "photocopied" statements i had were differant and could have had it all thrown out because one said a gray nissan 200sx the other a red nissan sports car!

At the end of the day i am going to have to just take what they give me .

After chatting to a few people i have made a case for myself comiling evidence of when i was living at diffrent addresses and were things were sent to .

I have also produced a document form work explainin gthat i need a vehicle or at least a full driving licence to work for the company i work for so i could therfore loose my job if unable to drive for a large period .

I'm rather scared about going to court to be honest i mean I'm not a rebel in a any way shape or form i couldnt even imagine being braught forward before a court it is going to be very nerve racking !

At the end of the day iff i get banned for 6 Months or something at least i can save up for a minter of a car although there is a Golf GTD on my radar ..

The only thing to bear in mind with claiming that a ban would affect your job is that you can still end up with a heck of a lot of points and a huge fine. A lad I work with was on 9 points and he got GATSO'd (would have put him on 12 points, ie banned and a small fine). He got work to do him a letter and he ended up with 11 points on his license and a few thousand pound fine

You are sent a letter through the post advising you that your licenc e has been revoked ..

I was unaware as i was not living at the adress at the time .

However this is my fault that i was unaware i believe as i should of informed the DVLA of my change of adress ..

I got worried for a second there..doesn't sound too good!

Good luck in court though, sounds like you got an alright case to go on, though if they let you off with less points will be a huge fine..

Not exactly.

You fill out a form saying what your monthly outgoings are and what you have left over each month. They take whats left over and tell you, you have to pay that each month for so many months. Thats how it went for me anyway. So if I were you think of all your outgoings and say you have something like £10 spare a month, could make it a smaller fine.

As above you will be asked to fill out a statement of means and any fine you recieve will be based on the information that you provide to the court, as for you not knowing that your licence was revoked you can in some cases do what is called a statutory declaration and that means that you go infront of the magistrates or district judge and tell them under oath that you didnt have any clue about the second speeding charge and if you did you would have taken the appropriate action given the situation, this may or may not help you but given the circumstances I would say you have nothing to lose.
