I'm thinking about getting some bora steelies for over the winter months to help preserve my alloys. May also give them another coat of metallic silver to freshen them up. What do you think? They're 6.5J 16"

it's not like your rolling on bling bling split rims or anything, wouldn't bother

i think the winter look for alot of cars is actually quite cool and i think them steels would look good always worth a try if you dont like it then flog them and revert back to your alloys

because my car is still seen during the winter. its not a trailer whore.

do it! you know it makes sense, steel is the new alloy! plus we will widen the rears and paint the centres!

do it!

Lol,

I roll my BBS splits over winter and you won't even run painted alloys over winter. Fucking mackem wimps.

With those wheels on it just looks like a completely standard Polo

Should buy those coilovers and just deck it instead.

as above.

i run all my wheels whatever the weather, season in any condition and they're fine. not like they're fully polished is it

i quite like them but deffo needs lowering properly to pull these off.

get some coilovers you know you want to.

I'm tempted mate, especially now i've got a little bit of cash put aside. But whats the point? its only a 1.2 and i'm sick of its lack of power anyway!

I'm hoping that being a year older now, will drop my insurance so I can get a bigger engined car (1.9 tdi or 2.5 tdi)

keep the vrs wheels on!

they dont need cleaning/polishing....simple wax and a jetwash rinse everytiome you clean them and they are sparkly again!

Nah chrispy, you've gotta get in there with a sponge to get them looking their best. Just a jetwash doesn't cut it!

I think it looks better on the steels. Especially if its gonna be decked.

If they're free id say why not, i wouldnt waste my money buying a set though
