Sunj's '92 GT

Here's my ride - 1992 K Reg Polo GT

Engine - 1.3 MPI currently at around 160,000 miles and still going strong!

Suspension - Standard

Brakes - Standard

Wheels and Tyres - 14 inch Fondmetal alloys with 185-60-R14 tyres

Exterior - German style plates. Euro front grille. Bit rusty!

Interior - Corrado front seats and back seats removed for a false floor ICE installation

ICE and Security - Sony HU, standard front dash speakers and rear Infinity Reference Series 6x9 speakers, Vibe 'Black Box' Stereo Amplifier

I bought this car in June at around 158,000, with decent history. Since I finished uni this year I bought it for myself as a little present! I've wanted a Mk3 GT for ages, and came upon this one in the midlands.

As I've just finished being a student I haven't had much money to do any work on it. Now that I got a job I'm finally putting the car up and show you a progress thread.

Over the summer it had a few troubles, like the gearbox and clutch failing. After a couple of weekends changing them the car runs sweet!

A few pics:

Hope you like! Let me know what you think.

glad the GT is still going strong... i put some hard work into this car... propper regret selling it tho!!! still on a plus note its good to see a fellow dub lover is looking after it!!

i see you say you put some rear seats back in it... the install took me ages lol lemme know if you get rid of the wheels or the whole car i will have it back off you!!

Dan

Hi Dan! Thanks for the reply yeh I have been looking after it, it really is a great car and judging by the condition it has been well looked after. I think the seats and the wheels are a great touch well done for doing it. I have done the back seats now tho but i kept the speakers to mount on the back shelf. Sorry mate but i needed a bit more practical ride... ;) . The false floor looked good tho!

Update:

Taken the false floor out and installed some back seats. Now the car is much more usable.
