Whats a weekend! Firstly my electric window decided to pack in half way on its way up , so I was kinda annoyed, then I finally got it up after getting wet thru !! then Saturday nite some little thug kikt my wing mirror off so its stuck on with masking tape, so she looks like she got a bandage on her ear.

Then this morning I get up to go to work and press my alarm button to get in car and yes it turns the alarm off but doesn’t open the car!! I eventually manage to use the key to get in the passenger side climb across and realise I need to put petrol in so drive to petrol station with finkin sh*t am guna run out, finally get there to realise the little locking problem I've developed wont let my petrol cap open either , so I've just got the car to work now and don’t realy think il make it home.

Any suggestions people……….

petrol can ....is it a mk4, do they have a petrol light? is it on?

sure as soon as it comes on you have so many miles left...if u remember when it came on, you should know roughly how many miles u got left init.

yea the cap opens its not that theres a lil like slide door inside

aah thats probably close to empty then...how far to nearest petrol station...am guessin uv probably got around 5 miles left....

to be honest it bout 5 mile , but i cant put any petrol in cuz tht lil slide door stil shut ! :(

Petrol can it then! If you can get someone to pick you up and fill up a can at station..

i had the same problem on mine sounds like your central locking pump has given up its located in the boot behind the drivers side rear light check the termanals on it as mine had gone furry and needed cleaning.to get the cap open i just pulled on it it brakes the plastc lug that holds the cap shut when the cars locked but if you need fuel then needs must

You need to find a way of activating you central locking, or break the flap!

Open your boot, pull the carpet on the right had side away (under the parcel shelf support) and feel around for a metal rod.

Pull it and it will release the metal pin holding the petrol cap closed.

OR get your key, put it where the metal pin is and kind of lever the pin free.
