I got caught in 2 hours of traffic this morning and she behaved herself during that time and she started just fine at -5 degrees C!!

The idle is adjustable via a 8 inch long adjuster, at a later date i hope to have control of the idle from inside the car!! It idles fine, sounds like it's slightly misfiring but it's not if you get what i mean. What with the car being 27years old i can get away with dirty emissions anyway when it comes to MoT time lol

Looks and sounds good mate.

Saw your video of the beige beast too on there, fooking hell that thing can move

What particular facet pump was used? Red, Silver? I'm interested in where they are mounted, how you've arranged it all.

Lol!!! Silence yourself, bike carbs will never ever work on a diesel

nice work LregG I hope to be doing something similar next summer altho can't afford the headwork or cam. Although I'm using a less powerful carb-specific 'Huco' pump and a swirl pot, think this'll work? I'm gonna try anyway haha...

also, it sounds fucking awesome!!!:badgrin:

I was going to use the standard fuel pump with a swirl pot when i was getting everything ready for my conversation, I'm pretty sure it would deliver the fuel needed

hahah yer i realised the lack of carb would be aproblem but oh well it gives me a excuse toget another heck... hmm anyone got a std mk2 for sale :-D

So you've got a Red Top Facet with the filter king to bring it down to aroundabout 3psi? And you've not got a fuel return, have you?

How have you arranged your breather system, given the problem of having a row of carbs obstructing the straight-up path behind the engine?

breather is straight to atmosphere mate, at a later date a catch tank will be fitted
