Just bolting one of my gt's back together and have hit a problem with the starter...pumps prime but starter doesn't turn!

Pretty sure starter is decent.

battery has charge

terminals on battery are tight

Am i right in thinking i should have a red wire from loom,black wire from the battery and one thinner wire that clips onto the end?

I'm positive there is an extra connector on the starter that you can accidently plug to.... i did this before and nowt happened. connected up correctly and it fired straight up.

sorted it. it seems the previous owner had half an alarm fitted poorly!
