e-car insurance?

Featured Replies

just got a quote with them and it was pritty cheap.

just wondering if anyone else is insured with them?

have they had any bad experiences with this company?

and if you have been insured with them, whats the deal with the policy being in someone elses name i.e my dads?

Cheers, Mike.

i was with them insured on my own name 7 points on a g40 was 21 just turning 22 with 0 years no claim

insurance was around 800 iirc

however if you cancel your policy or claim even if someone hits into you, you must pay the years premium in full before you can claim...

i had another drive crash into me wouldnt accept liability and the other insurance company (his) closed the case because they couldnt get in contact with him, so i was left with a 400 quid repair bill or the option of paying 50/50 for damages and also having to pay 600 odd quid for my the remainded of my premium

i told them to forget everything and just went with adrian flux

in future if you get into an accident ignore your insrance company, they will ignore the claim and thats the end of it, its a shocking state of affair and I'm worked up just thinking about it now

bastards

e-car insurance? CRAP lol

gave me some of my most expensive quotes, as did quin direct.

when i was 17 and learning to drive

i was a named driver under my dad with norwich union direct and it was £356tpft

direct line came out a couple of quid cheaper than e-car quoting me 1300 on my 1.05

everyone I've told to look at ecarinsurance have been over 200-600 pound cheaper, although the quotes for my G were a whopping 1200 quid off what most other insurers try to charge me

if your young your gonna get ass raped regardless and its also illegal and fraudulent to be a named driver if you are the main driver of the vehicle

I'm with ecar (well emodifiedcarinsurance) and theirs was by far the cheapest quote, by like £450!

ace.

i think they're pretty flexible with adding mods onto the policy at a later date (meaning they wont charge much more if anything)

altho i haven't done any mods since before i started the policy.

I Have been with ecar and ebike for 2 years now and so far they have been great, can add and take off bike as and when you like (donno how if that applies with cars) and they give a good saving with pass plus!

ahhh now your wrong there

they wont charge you admin fees for amending ANY details, however they will charge you a premium increase on some mods

bodywork modifications, interior mods and braking mods do not increase or decrease the premiums this included bigger spoilers, extended wheel archs, bodykits, roll cage, seat changes, brake upgrades and steering wheels oh and tints, and front splitters that was all FOC upgrades just required declaring

however to lower the G i was looking at a 300 quid increase in premium, if i added an induction kit onto that aswell it took it up to 700 increase on a the premuim (on which i was paying around 800 ish on the G)

deffo make sure youve got the coilies declared before you get your quote as you dont want to get stung later...

also they dont charge you more when you pay, what you see is what you get, they reduce thier costs by doing everything online, you can speak to them by phone if needs me but policy amendments etc all need to be done of hte website

easy now

that means I'm not wrong?

mechanical upgrades (suspension, better brakes, stainless backbox, induction kit) i declared when i started the policy.

as i said earlier "i think they're pretty flexible with adding mods onto the policy at a later date (meaning they wont charge much more if anything"

they are pretty flexible with adding mods to the policy as you just proved by listing stuff you can do that wont raise your premium!

i didnt say all mods will be free did i?

but yeah, i recommend them :)
