As some of you may have known already, bought a GTi this summer, and it's been giving me a stupid amount of grief. I've finally been getting happy with it so decided to post some pictures of the work done on it.

This is the car that gave way for the GTi...

When I picked the car up..

Then came a very long roughly 3 months period, when the car pretty much sat in the garage having all of the following work done to it..

New engine put in

New Cambelt & Waterpump

New Air-con Compressor

Air-con Regas

Service

Then the BMC came!

Then managed to do black pillars with Sooty's help

Then came a long list of small things been done. The red piping around the grill got changed, as well as pressed UK plates

TT Pedals

Kamei Door Sills

Monkey

New Door Handles

Aero Wipers

Also got a VW black tax disc holder, and Enfig S2000 Aerial

Then came a 900 mile journey to Aberdeen.. Car looking like this :) Someone say wide?

Then these came home and got a real clean

Then look at the stance!

And then they came off for a while to have these on..

Although anyone with Skoda wheels and a 30mm drop is in no position to talk about stance

I said the wheels stick out too far.... they do. Tread should be inside the arches imo.

I'm guessing they're Phil's old wheels if he went to Aberdeen? Not sure if he took them off when putting his MK5 up for sale.

looks awesome on the bbs but damn you went a long way to get them! also really like the lupo gti wheels wouldn't mind a set myself

In my opinion, all Mk5s should get that shortened mirror sorted out. Having one mirror bigger than the other looks really odd.

Nice wheels. I can tell you had a water pump issue by looking at all the dirt that has been collected in your coolant filler bottle thingy bob what ever its called.

I had my lupo sport for 3 days and the water pump failed so I feel your pain! My car was under warranty though

I don't know how good the chassis's are on the Mk5 Polo's but I gather they are somewhat similar to that of the Lupo and if they are then spot on! But I would still recommend you get thicker anti-roll bar bushes and some strut braces to compensate your chassis, those are going to be my first mods after my insurance pay-off next year!

the lupos bathursts get my vote...i have wanted a set for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages after i saw robins old mk4 on them and also depresions colour concept!
