Longer wheel bolts

Featured Replies

I'm after some longer wheel bolts, I fitted the coilies on sunday and if I go so far down the spring and adjustable rings either catch the rim of the tyre!

So my mate is getting me some 10mm Spacers, so can anyone help me with what size I need and where to get them from?

Mk4 6n and I'm currently running standard steels!! (Looks erm. . . . great!)

10mm will be too much for just using longer wheel bolts

5mm spacers are ok with longer bolts... can get the bolts from grayston engineering (google for website)

I'm going to use these guys when I need to get my spacers and bolts http://stores.ebay.co.uk/performance-car-shop. the bolts are M12's x 1.5 I think and just measure your current bolts and add 10mm.

Could you not use Hubcentric spacers with the longer wheels bolts?

I just need to get them away from the coilovers for obvious reason (and it means i can go lower!)

So whats the best in this situation?

Can i get 5mm spacers?!?

Nick

10mm hubcentrics are very rare... only H&R that i know of and they are pricey

most companies start hub-centric at 12-14mm

5mm should be enough to solve suspension problems unless u have a wierd offset wheel or your camber is miles out

Yeah i can get a set of 5mm spacers for £15

So any ideas of where to get the longer bolts?!?

i got some from ABP motorsport in crewe... but also rim style sent me some too

Howe much did they set u back?!?

I converted to studs. £10 for the studs and £16 for decent nuts. As the thread is common to my Manta and the Golf, I can use the same rims on both cars by using the right nuts for each wheel.

Oh and is 4 5mm spacers for £15 any good?

Dunno, my mate can get them for me as he works at "Camberly Auto Factors"

He is a life saver when you need summin urgently!
