I recall seeing a thread on here similar to this a while back so apologies for that, however i know some if not many of you have had your cars in the various magazines, and i was discussing with my mate how to go about it and what standard your car really has to be, i am mainly asking on his behalf as he's ademant that his mk2 golf will one day be a PVW feature, so i s there anyone who can point us or him in the right direction?

by sending your car pics in for 'readers rides' or whatever its called dependin on the mag, theyll get in touch with u if they think its up to scratch

i see, any other ways? and any ideas on standard the car has to be? i mean it will need some attention without a doubt but aside from some slight smartening all the major work is done

these days for a mk2 golf to get featured it has to have something rather special done as pretty much everything imagineable has been done before to them!

yea most mags you will prob need to have couple of grand thrown at it to get it featured unless its obviosly in the readers rides section or somthing.

not neccesarily......there will be a mk2 in pvw soon which hasnt had thousands thrown at it but its got a very pleasant story behind it.

i think nowadays if you want your car to be featured in a mag you got to do something thats different from everyone elses but at the same time it also has to look good like for example this months issue of PVW has this crazy vento with all these different ways of opening all the doors n also looks quite nice n that and also definately aint seen nothing like that yet soo

yer i thought they were a bit common, although with regards to money thrown at it, its by no means a cheap car, then again its not in the leagues of 10's of thousands spent either, but i guess it does depend on what people like

oww yea of course with out rulling out if it was different or just a good example of course. a majority of the cars featured have had a fair amount of money spent on them tho mind!

I think you may be confusing Max with Fast Car. Dunno if you've picked up a copy recently, but a lot has changed.

For example, there's a factory stock Dodge Charger in this issue.

By the same token, you could say, well if you want into the scene mags then fit a set of BBS/Porka wheels, slam it, smooth everything off and go around telling everyone it's old skool.

i think to be feature you have to do soming different from the crowd be original or dont be afraid to try somthing new and be creative

i'd love to have my car featured personally as it would make all the hard work worthwhile, then again i think that once its been featured theres not much chance of it happening again even though it will be constantly changing...

also get bored once its been featured and want something different...
