This probably isnt the best place to ask for an opinion,most people are on here because they like polos or things vag orientated and have tunnel vision (not most but some) I think its a pretty cool idea, its no different to ratting a polo just a different car, a load of rover boys would think a rat mk3 looks wank. Id go for it and you can drop a turbo lump in for a fraction of the price of a g40 lump and it would out handle one all day long. rat look on modern cars aint my thing but each to their own

True what your saying but am on about rating a mk1 metro hence why I used a picure of a mk1 Austin Metro in my first post as its older and more old skool looking.

we had a 32k metro si 5 door which we bought off my mates gran for 50 notes, was a speedy thing with the 100bhp 1.4 in it. the chassis was shagged and the brakes had rusted but it was so funny!

Having had a Metro as a first car, aswell as a 1.8 and a turbo I'm always going to be biased. People always slate metros but to be honest the Polo feels like an absolute BOAT compared to a metro.

if you want a turbo engine in a metro now they go for mega money and is only really to be done if everything else on the car is upto scratch as they are fast little things but they are expensive if you dont already have a t3/t2 to do the conversion then i wouldnt bother
