I had a drag race up the motorway from last years Polo show against Mouse in his GTi - from about 70mph 3 of us side by side and we all booted it and I stuck beside the GTi all the way to 100! was well chuffed.

I recon mines at about 100bhp with a few simple modes - turned the fuel plunger around 180 degrees - maxed out the fuel screw - tweaked the fuel pump timing by 1 degree, blanked off the boost recirculator and messed with the wastegate screw. Pulls very well and still gets 48mpg and thats caining the crap out of it!

Anyone who was in the Scottish convoy this year will tell you how quickly I caught up with them after my g40 broke down! I did the same amount of miles in 3 hours and 5 minutes as it took everyone else to do in 5hrs! It will pull all the way to 100mph without a fuss, but because I have the fuel screw out so far then it hits a wall as there isnt enough boost to carry the fuel - so I've bought a boost controller to up the boost. They will take 1 BAR of boost easily - and upto 27PSi with a 1.9 metal headgasket.

The suspension had been dropped 55mm - along with Bilstein gas shocks really have transformed the handling and It will show its heals to a few unsuspecting drivers!

Power of the GTD engine depends on if it has an intercooler or not - early ones without the topmount intercooler make 70bhp - later ones like mine make 80bhp with the top mounted intercooler - these can be retro fitted, but try finding one! 9I had to buy 3 seperate supposidly complet intercooler kits to make 1 good one!

Nope they are still sitting in the same box as you gave them to me in! I'll get round to them sometime.

There is a couple around here now too - one black one and a metallic grey one! The owner of the black one gives it big licks! It smokes really badly! That Blue one in Glasgow still hasnt sold!
