Needs a 60mm drop.

Looks even better on those Golf steels - excellent choice I reckon. 185/50's would have kept the gearing correct though and looked better as the bigger 55's have slightly increased the ground clearence.

IMO, that steering wheel doesn't suit the car at all though, sorry. It needs something a bit more old skool/retro or O.E. to keep it looking right.

It will look great with a 60mm drop though, and this is still a superb car by any standard.

AWSOME

agreed with breadman. lovely car but i would have kept steering wheel and gear nob OE

you were right it does look better with the red grille stripe, stands out!

having a few teething probs with 'goldilocks' still. dash lights and headlights went out on m1 going home tuesday! but work again now from cold, so the ignition barrel bits ok, its something to do with when it gets hot weve decided :? put another carb on it today just needs adjusting up so thats halfway to getting it running smooth again. and them wheel bearings will have to be done sounds like an aeroplane taking off, turns heads, so i guess people can hear it coming its that loud!!!

hopefully it will be sorted out and running round again soon

this is clean as, any plans engine wise?

Needs more power defo  I'm thinkin Golf GTI 16v swop. Funds an time allowing

You can get a Weber carb for your 1 litre.

Best thing to do is PM Demolover (Barney). He is selling his 1.3 with a Weber conversion. Would probably be plug and play for your car. :-)

Get a rev counter as well !

EDIT: oioi I just noticed you put back on the grille with the silver trim ! Looks good but I have to take it back, red looks better. :)
