  have fun.. i can only dream

haha bens got a fetish for chrome... it will look sweet craig but i do hope you like polishing as keeping chrome shiny on a daily is a fuckin laborious pain!

I've got a polished inlet manifold and after two days it needs a polish again, mind you as polomon was saying to me your mk4 bays are pretty cramped so theres not too much room for shit to get all the way up there...

looking wicked tho, i always wanted to get every bolt nut and washer powdercoated but i know id end flipping my nut wen i scratched them

are you planning on running without the cam cover to show off the cam pulley? if you can get someone to try and make you up an acryllic or some sort of plastic see thru cam cover casing that would look the titties

*did you get the woodruff key on the cam pulley chromed too? or not bother as you wont be able to see it when its all on the car*

The woodruff key is built into the actual pulley i got them to leave the backside of the pulleys un-chomed as i wanted a nice snug fit again.

Ude be surprised at how much shit gets to the top of the bay cuz i just popped the bonnet and its abit shite!!

Ile run the cam cover on wen I'm using it daily but for shows i can just pop it off i spose. but i know of a few people who run without a camcover all the time,

safety first though

Thankx for all the other comments , much appreciated.

Craig

You could always cut the cover in half so the bottom doesn't pick up and shit or anything but the top is on show so you can bling bling away.

The car will look great when its done but personally I couldn't be fucked with cleaning it all the time. The only shiney bits my car had was the Zenders and I gave those back cause they were a whore to keep clean

not sure about your engine but i know my 8v golf engine is non interferance so if the cam belt snapped nothing troublesome would happen bar having to put a new one and maybe reset the static timing, worth finding out what the deal is with your own whether or not the valves would smash into the pistons, even if your not gonna run it off all the time its still a useful piece of info

and deffo a good idea about only getting the fronts done as it would be a pain to get everything back on and to realise it doesnt all fit properly  will look mint when its all done

Get a differnet colour cambelt ? =] Dunno what. Get a see-through one! lol

If the cambelt snapped on a 16v the valves would get fucked sometimes, I've seen it happen.

@ kam the cambelt cover is in 2 parts anyway, the bottom is metal and the top part is just a plastic cover.

suerly some place could make you some sort of perspex one if you gave em your existing cover.

the bottom part getting chromed then?! :p
