Hi, I'm 17 and looking to get insured on a 1.4. Wanted to know what companies accept pass plus and how much cheaper is it?

Norich Union honer it i believe but in my experiance they are pretty expensive to start with.

If I'm honest pass plus never got me a discount, neither did my IAM when I had it.

When your 17 there isn't much you can say to get cheaper insurance unless you say your post code starts with AB42 haha.

A few of my mates had it and went with ASDA. They had quite cheap insurance. You have to phone up though I think when it comes to passplus.

I Think most major companies use it.

Only up to group 10 insurance cars tho.

TBH, by the time you pay for all your lessons etc, you'll spend more money than you'll save.

have you tried just calling around and asking? i know its a long procedure, but thats the best way?

haven't done my pass plus yet but wanted to make sure if theres any point in actually doing it. Also you can get the county council to pay for half of your pass plus so they pay you around £90 and you pay the rest.

my pass plus is £110 and I'm completing it on 28th.

I'm sure i read on endsleighs policy they offer 40% discount for passplus drivers.

if you go the pass plus website it tells you which insurers offer passplus discounts anyway but you have to phone up with most insurers for pass plus quotes

Cheers killer gt, looked on their website and have found the insurers list. I've had the cheapest quote from quinn direct adn they accept pass plus so hopefully once i have done my passplus it will become cheaper!

in wales theres a sceme called pass plus cymru and basically the national assembly fund it. we also have to go to the fire station to have a theroy session basically u sit there and watch some chav driving round sunny rhyl lol
