Cruise Control

Featured Replies

Hi all. I've been driving an '06 TDI Sport from new and still love it. I only have one problem--maintaining 50mph through those horrible average speed zones on the motorway is almost impossible and very dangerous (looking at the speedo more than the road)! They seem to be everywhere and I'm finally sick of it; I need cruise control  Downgrading from a 3-series coupe I would say cruise control is the only thing I really miss having.

How easy is it to fit? Can I just buy the stalk or a kit from my dealer or is it something I should have them fit for me? Any idea how much it will cost?

I'm up near Leeds at the moment visiting family and it would be amazing if I could have cc fitted for the drive back down South after xmas.

Thanks.

Right. I don't know the exact price but for a mk5 golf its £150 ish fitted.

this ia best left to the dealership as a wire will have to be run from the switch to the engine ecu and the ecu will then need coding to accept the cruise control system.

Give your local main dealer a ring and get a quote, its fixed menu pricing so wont be silly expensive.
