well as the title said, i locked my keys in the boot yesterday...what a plonker i am! i was locking up my car after fitting up sub and had to go to the boot (which was open) and get my screwdriver etc, i put my keys down in the boot, got the stuff and shut it! bollocks! i then had to try and open my door with a wire, no joy, i then had the police arrive to question me as to what a piece of wire was doing hanging out of my window and why i was trying to break in. i explain the circumstances, show sum paper and off they go! i then had to bend the top of my door to unclock the car from the inside, i had to do this on both doors because the drivers side wouldnt open after i unlocked it! i did eventually get in with the help of sum random stranger (who had done it before ) the piss take is that i had just changed the fuse for central locking as i had blew it earlier some how!? i now have to enter the car through the passenger side or the boot! however the boot is alot more fun..its like a mini assault course!

what a day! whats the strangest place anyone has locked them selves out of their car and getting in!

incase people were wondering i wasnt covered for locked keys in car jobbie and i wasnt going to call a locksmith etc cos I'm a tight bastard!

What about the spare key? Moral of the story always keep the spare somewhere safe so you can avoid sillys! :-D

i broke the glass on my old focus.

Locked the key in the boot same way-stupid design being able to open the boot without unlocking the car tbh!

as it had deadlocks i had to smash the glass and climb through and get the keys.

Ended up wrecking the window motor and glass went everywhere!!

stupid windows dont break they fecking explode!

had to use a hefty lead pipe, broke my 4 cell maglight trying to do it, man they have tough windows!

someone advised me to bend the door, i was like err no!!

Never understood the door bending thing, there's far easier ways.

That aside, it wasn't a lockout, but the alarm on my Camry died leaving the car immobilised at 7:00am on a Monday morning on the Shepherd's Bush Road in London (Red Route tow away zone).

By the time I'd finished removing the alarm and bypassing the immobiliser they'd towed the two cars in front of mine and mine was next.

I'm really good at losing keys, so I generally have a backup for each vehicle I own tucked in the back of my wallet.

you bent both doors . breaking the glass would have been a much easier and cost effective solution

haha! plonker... no I've done it before on holiday my excuse being i paniced as the car had just been broking into and i was in a rush to pack up and get home, rac came and let me in lol

Should just ring up AA or whoever, they can open your door in a flash. My dad had to do it once.

being a locksmith most of the kit is exspensive but i know of vehicle locksmiths and there van has like 30k's worth of equipment in, silly money..

Car entry on 8+yr old cars is easy, prob harder to do it with locksmiths kit than it is to use random shit. There's a method for most older cars, you just gotta know it.

Without discussing specific tools and techniques, a basic lockout kit like I have won't touch most cars after about 1995. Modern cars need very specialised kit, which as arris says, costs stupid amounts of money.

yeah older cars are alright, but newer cars can be a right pain,

can get some swanky kit for it tho, just depends how much you want to spend..

For the odd one off, a brick and a new window works out loads cheaper.

pull out the seal on the window and slide something down to pull up the nob well on a non-central locking version anyway

Whoa whoa whoa! I see your from Bradford you dodgy git, stay away from my car!

I know for a fact old VW's are EASY PEASY to break into so be warned! Never leave anything valuable in your derby.

I locked my keys in my derby a couple of times (it was cursed) and my grandad was able to get into the car in approx 10.5 seconds haha

Haha! I'm not a TWOKer myself but living where I do I have access to their encyclopedic knowledge of car entry techniques, I posted on here a while ago asking how to get into my car but it wasn't until I approached one of the scruffy little b@$7@rds that anyone could help me out!
