as above been offerd a set of slot mags, just wondering if they will clear my breaks?

AFAIK the 16v has 14's as standard because of its bigger brakes, i'm not definite, but i'm pretty sure on this, i'm hopin to get a valver early next year.

correct,,13s wont go over the brakes on a 16v,,I've tried it matey.

Would this apply to a 1.6 Mk4? As mine has 14s as standard.

Some 13s will fit over the brakes but it depends on the wheels themselves. As a rule of thumb (to be safe) assume 13s won't fit.

As for a 1.6 8V I can't really say. If it has 239mm discs ( which I would imagine it does) then you should be able to put 13s on it. But if it has bigger brake sthen you will need bigger wheels.

Personally I think 13s are far to small for a 6N unless you have it dragging on the floor to achieve the correct stance. Like that matte black one.
