theres a saying over here in ireland you can spot a gypo if his car is clean but his number plate is dirty

My plates are a bit manky  expecting to be pulled anyday now :ninja:

My car hasnt been cleaned since i bought it, about 3 months ago, and i dont intend on doing over winter neither  too much ballache washing it, for it to only be clean for a few days

Dont see how people dont feel ashamed to drive dirty cars though, its like would you go out without having a shower?

Maybe thats because some people actually dont really give a shit what other people think about them?

Theres far too much "doing to impress" going on in this world, i hope some aliens come a zap me up to a world where no one cares about stuff :doubt:

My van and polo get washed whenever they're MOT'd. I haven't been driving the Camry, so what it looks like ain't my fault :)

thats one of the stupidest statement i've ever read how can you compare the of your car to your personal hygiene? unless having a flashy looking car is the only way you can pull or impress people?

if i go to a show my car gets jet washed, thats about the only time i pay any attention to how it looks (i'm not a poser), if i wanted to impress people i wouldn't be driving a vw

Absolutely nail on head with that one

can i have the mahosive panda bear with i love gay sex across the love heart shaped crest on its chest please sir?

I think all he means by that.

Is.

If you have an old car (mk2/mk3) and it's dirty, it's considered a heap (and other motorists may not be so cautious around you as they perceive you as not giving a shit). If it's clean, it may be considered a little better and people may pay more care to avoid having someone very enthusiastic gutting them in the aftermath of a careless swipe.

Newer cars, as we know, are more expensive and are watched like hawks by people wanting to avoid big insurance hits.

if thats what he means he's got a shit way of trying to put it across. he says if your cars dirty you should be ashamed, nothing about other road users not giving a toss about your car, so please take off your rose tinted specs mr lee

and mr c, when do i get my bear?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't keep my car clean through any misguided ideas of impressing other people. As modest mouse says, if I wanted to impress people, I wouldn't drive a VW, particularly a polo, for Gods sake.

I keep my car clean because it's mine, I want to look after it, I want it to last, it looks sorry for itself when its dirty, so I clean it. so if it bothers you that I clean my car more in a month than you do in 3 years, then :finger:

I read that as beer then  i started to sweat thinking i had agreed to GIVE away beer, FOR FREE :lol:

You`ll get monsiuer queer bear when you come see me dance at the local strip joint :unibrow: :-D
