Hi just found a car advertised with the following mods, its an auid a3

FULL ABD AIRINLET SYSTEM WITH STAINLESS HOSES

BAILEY MOTOR SPORT DV3 SINGLE PISTON DUMP VALVE (SUPER SOUND)

FULL SAMCO SPORT FRONTAL INTER_COOLER SYSTEM

FULL SPAX_KRYPTON GAS SUSPENTION

CAR HS 20MM LOWERED THROUGH RX ADJUSTMENT

UPDATED BRAKES ALL ARROUND

Judging from the pics has an intercooler been added? Curious as there about £600 How much would you say its go in mods. Or is it just a whole lot of samco pipes for show.

I doubt that car would be any faster than a standard A3 - there are no performance parts on it.

Just nasty blue and red Samco hosing and a chav dump valve!

yep.. looks a bit lame.. thought it might be hiding something special.. but realisticaly i think its just like you said pointless add on's.

WTF is that pipe

WTF is that pipe

i was wondering too.. that why i thought it may have an intercooler.. that pipe running over the engine is coming from the turbo.. so not sure where else it would go..

It should have an intercooler standard

Get rid of the Bailys DV, Worst ever. Leaks.

Yeah, it'll have an intercooler as standard.

That pipework and hosing coming from the turbo to intercooler is bloody horrible. Why would anyone do that?

No performance gains there then. Probably installed by some muppet who thought it would look good! :retard:

chav dump valve!

A3's do not like Dump Valves, i'd not go near it.

What?????

They have recirculating dump valves fitted as standard tho.

Looks like the standard intercooler has been swapped for a frontmount, hence the pipework.

That is not a good place for the dumpvalve either!!!

Spec seems a bit raggo. Like everythings been chucked on with not much thought.

The DV is no good. They are fiited with Bosch recirculating dump valves as standard but they don't last long so thats why people change them to a newer recirculating DV but obviously a branded one with better build quality. The one he has there is an atmospheric DV which will definitely throw up a few fault codes and also damage the MAF. It also looks like he's relocated the DV down there. There's a kit you can get which relocates the DV and apparently its supposed to be cooler in the new place.........i dont think so lol. DV's should be kept in their original location for a reason

I have no idea why that pipe is going across the engine :? i've never seen that before! Usually the pipework for an FMIC runs underneath somewhere or on the side of the engine cover.

The only decent thing on there tbh is the Milltek backbox. Would be better to have the cat back system with downpipe and race cat though  makes a good difference regarding performance gains!

bro used to own an Ibiza Cupra 1.8T so learnt all the engine stuff when he had it lol hope that helps mate.

my mates cupra didnt run with a normal DV, it kept building back pressure and stalling, he got the new forge splitter dump valve, which is still recirc but gives you a bit of a blow off and chatter. Much more tasteful than a chav bag one.

But god knows how little he must have known about his car to do that to it!!
