Steph's 1999 Corsa (taken some more pics)

Featured Replies

Model: 1999 (T) Vauxhall Corsa Club (With comfort pack!)

Engine: 1.2 16V - quite nippy for a Corsa actually

Suspension: Standard so far...

Brakes: Again standard

Wheels and Tyres: 13" Wheels with gun metal coloured wheel trims

Exterior Styling: Currently none

Interior Styling: 5" Kenwood door speakers, new Sony Xplod head unit.

Story of this car: Bought for £10,000! New by the owner I bought it off. Have been driving it 3 months and so far have only replaced the head unit and the wheel trims. I plan to put it on my dads astra alloys when he scraps it in the new year but I'm looking for anyones ideas as to what I should do with it as I'm struggling for inspiration!

Note! I only bought this as my polo had to go - it wasn't worth fixing. But now I miss my polo so much! I'm going to buy another one when I've saved enough money. But seeing as I've never really posted many pics of my car thought I'd put some up. I also meant to take them earlier but got distracted by Herbie!

Sell it!!!!!

Its sold to my bro but he wont be needing it till april at the earliest!

I'm saving for another polo but until then it will have to do

Ohhh I like that grill! Mines all cracked (small 2mph accident a few weeks ago)

that corsa above on the d90s actually looks pretty class i do like it

steph you need cheapo mods like if your selling it your bro, just girlie it up, get some coloured tape and do the eyelash thing and some other wee bits n pieces oh and take the hubcaps off and paint the steelies a diff colour each like the polo harlequin

oh yehhhh

  • Author

Hahaha paint my steelies! Thats a quality idea! My bro keeps lookin at it and finding scratches and takin money off it.

How do u remember I liked the eyelash thing off the lupo! What colour shall I do it in ?! :p

Got some astra alloys to go on it, can't find a picture of them though!

If I do mod this car I'm going to make it look stupid lol I can't be bothered with it roll on my next polo!

Edit: Heres a few pics I took earlier, crappy phone quality

The only thing I like better than my polo is that its standard but doesn't look like its on stilts. But maybe thats the sub in the boot??

Edited by imagine

hahaha just got a good memory :)

i think blue tape would look good against the black, or yellow if you can find it!

deffo paint the steelies, I'm not sure what the astra alloys look like but the less kerbed they are the more you can sell them to your bro for!

and you sure hes not putting the scratches and stuff on the car to get some money off!!! mwahahaha lil baaaaastard.

i was thinkin the car looked reasonably low in those new pics, aye probs is cos the sub, is it a fair bit lower at the front, and lopsided at the back if the subs to one side?

id just paint the steelies, do the eyelash thangs and just it all up until you get your olop what polow you thinking anyhoo?

Don't really know, around the same year or newer than my corsa. I had a mk 4 before and I miss it really badly so I might go for another one. Just not red this time! T-cutting that was a bitch.

The subs sitting on the left in the boot & thats parked on a hill! So does look slightly lopsided. I havn't got anywhere to store the sub so I'm currently taking the extra weight where ever I go as its not wired in yet.

bought some Kenwood 6x9s today half price! So will wire them up maybe tomorrow.

The alloys are off my dads old astra, they are pretty mint so I'm happy with them!

I quite like red tape, but my interiors black and blue so maybe blue tape (halfords is only up the road from me! Wish I'd read this before I went and bought the speakers though!) And blue eyelashes?!

:-p yay! I'm so happy look what I got done today:

DSC00514.jpg

After going apeshit mental at a foreign guy as my car was not ready I think the effect these wheels has made makes up for having to wait another 2 hours!

PS excuse the dirt... Comes from doing 250miles a week on the A14

is that Porsche rims on a corsa? I'm sorry but that is wrong! :tear:

Ps. the red one i mean not yours

Edited by polocollector

why is it wrong? people put porsche rims on polos all the time, i think it looks class

on polos yea! buts its like a VAG thing isnt it? well to me anyway! just my opinion

Hahahaha I read that and thought what! I bought Porsche rims on my corsa and I only paid £40 for them! My steelies have to go back on :( I'm not insured for the alloys.

those aint to shabby! do u need to have tem decalired then? I'm not suggesting you do this, but i havnt.. should i ever need to I'm just gonna go with 'they were on my car when i got it' ?? when do intend on joining the VW ranks!???

Sell it!!!!!

that's exactly what I was going to say.

I agree, theres no rules to say that porsche rims are only for volkswagens and porsches.

Sell it!!!!!

that's exactly what I was going to say.

In all fairness I think thats a little harsh, I only wanted suggestions on to how I could improve my car, and I didn't really need those comments.

They're not shabby for £40. You don't argue with that! I cancelled my policy with direct line, they were bastards to me anyway. I couldn't find a quote as cheap (without declaring my wheels) anyway for renewal so I went with Norwich union, £611 fully comp before, £639 wheels declared.

I think you should call it SUE

  • Author

SUE it is then, everyone who looked at it thought it said Sue. Been thinkin of a name lol. Ta x

hehe You got to go with what the car is telling you, and it says Sue. I like the car i think it looks nice. Are you saving up for a mk4 polo again? Because that corsa must be worth a bit? Whats it like on fuel?

  • Author

I paid £1000 for it? Think I got a good deal actually now I've been driving it a while. Its better than my mk4 was on fuel but thats cuz my mk4 was running really rubbish when I sold it! It does about 350-400 miles before the petrol light comes on, and its got a smaller engine than my polo but reaches speeds far better.

So yeh, in answer to your question I am saving for another polo!!

by the way My bfs plate is N311FLP .... Nell or Flip!

Heres a few pics I took this morning of my car:

Far away

Rear end

DSC00524.jpg

It needs a wash :(

DSC00523.jpg

DSC00522.jpg

It looks like its on stilts at the front. The boots got 2 steelies in it so its kinda weighed down.

I have to say nice parking!

All the lasses at my work cant park for shit!

Car looks ok btw, needs some lowerage going on though.

  • Author

Take a look in the gallery in a bit... I took some pics of it after taking it through the car wash.

Having trouble getting the pics off my phone though :( Says its malfunctioned or something?!

Oh and about the parking, after having reversed into that space around pallets of hose and the like (I sell industrial plumbing) I am becoming a bit of a pro at it!! And in the far away one, theres usually a lorry backed up against that door when I leave to go home!
