Volkswagen Lupo Sport - Colour Concept

Featured Replies

Make:Volkswagen

Model:Lupo

Year/Reg: 2001

Mileage: 64,000 (roughly, daily car so slowly on the rise)

MOT: March 08

Tax: July 07

Good points: Jazz Bue Pearl, 100bhp version, rebuilt Polo GTI

box (Lupos suffer the same gearbox problem as mk5 Polo), new clutch, new thrust bearing,

new wishbones, regular oil/filter changes, brand new coilovers (fitted today - 28/12/2007), tinted

headlights, tinted indicators, stainless steel cat back exhaust, pop

out rear windows (don't normally get them on sport), black GTI

headliner, full leather trim (seats, door cards, handbrake cover, gear

knob and steering wheel), heated front seats, power steering, abs,

disc brakes all round (bloody good to!!), stock headunit, fog lights, recently painted

mirrors and rear bumper, central locking, electric mirrors, colour

concept alloys, with good tyres, chequer roof (only stickers so can be

removed easily), genuine VAG floor mats and mud flaps, black badges,

pressed plates (also spare set in black and silver and a stain black front one).

As you will see in the pics the paint work is very good on the car.

Its not perfect, but it does come up well. I clean it at least once a

week and if the weather is particularly bad twice a week. Always kept

in good clean condition , never smoked in, won't let people eat in and

am generally very picky about what goes in and out of the car . Always

parked away from other car in car parks so no shopping dents can be

acquired. Its the first car I've had were I actually care about how it

looks so I've taken lots of care in my ownership. Even my missus hates

how much I clean the damn thing

The car has a round 100bhp, quite possibly more but wouldn't like to

say as I've never had it RR'd. It is a quick little car and its very

comfortable. The stainless steel exhaust is only really noticeable louder when you give it some beans.

On normally driving you wouldn't even notice really. But if you like a

loud car you could always take one of the boxes out and it would be

much louder. It is the kind of car that love to be driven hard, but I

never rag it from cold. Always give it time to warm up, even when the

gauge says the car is warm I still give it another 10 mins just to

be sure.

Petrol consumption isn't to bad if you drive it sensibly. With the

current price of petrol you'll put about £26 in to fill the tank and

you'll get around 230-240 miles to the tank. If you really batter the

car it will drop to around 200ish. I drove from Newcastle to Edition

38 in a tank doing good speeds on the motorway. I was actually

surprised with how well it does on th motorway. Older cars are a bit

loud and rickity on the motorway but the Lupo is a dream! Good power

as well for over taking on A roads, drop it down a cog and its away!

Before the car goes to its new owner I'll whack some fresh oil and a

filter on it.

Bad points: 1cm scuff on the front bumper in the paint. Bottom

half of the bumper is scuffed from getting the car into the backyard.

Make everyone look at you cause your have a stupid look on your face

from how fun it is.

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

You can see the pearl in the paint in this pic:

This one is quite recent:

Told you its shiney!!

Price: £4,500 ono.The reason I want to sell the car is because it just doesn't

have that old school charm. As a car its about 100 times better than

an old car but it just doesn't feel like a 'me' type of car. I suit something older and slower, lol.

Bare in mind the car has had all the common Lupo faults repaired, brand new coilies, pedal box just reconned about a month ago and a fresh gearbox. You can see I do everything that needs done on the car!

Forgot to mention it has 256mm brakes but had the calipers modified so you can fit 13s if you want....!

Oh yeah. Its just had brand new brake pads on the back about 2 weeks ago as well as aero blade wipers.

Oil / filter change tomorrow as well.

Bump up for a very nice looking car.

bump considering all the work you've put into it.

Ahh...the scuff crew, I have one on my front bumper as well.

When I get a better job I'll also consider getting back a mk2.
