better than scabby baremetal!

painting them black will clean the look of them up and keep them tidy :-D

it is on my to do list also

granted if you paint drums a lairy colour they look gash but black looks good

Excuse this one... I made the mistake of wiping the velcro with a rag before I took it an all the fluff stuck to it... But you get the idea... My phones there most the time so its covered... A cheap phoneholder...

Hope you like... Nice to have it all clean again!

This car is sweet!

Is it a one piece carpet? Was it hard to remove? Did you have to take the seats out?

Thanks.

  • Author

Thanks! ye its one piece or at least it was...(cut it and its hidden where cut while welding in the TT seats.... Thats the reason I had it out you see.. Figured I might aswell give it a really good clean while its accessible and I was making up mounts for The tt seats... rented a carpet shampooer... Not hard at all... Lotsa plastic to take out... seats etc and then just lifts out... Take your time and store srews safely... Good luck!

Good news guys...

Today I had a photoshoot for one of the Irish magazines... (Slick). Now its not the best of magazines and doesnt do much VAG stuff but there trying to feature more euro style cars and thats where I came in. A while back I emailed them a few photos and spec sheet and I was delighted when I got a phone call from the editor asking did I want a 5 page feature! Wahey! Its going to be in the March issue. I was afraid that as this magazine doesnt do this style feature much, I was apprehensive as to what it would come out like...last thing I wanted was a stupid title like "Black Beast" or something... So I talked to the editor for some time about it... I wrote down my ideas and the direction I would like him to take in the feature and he said he would be only too happy to take my ideas into account... So fingers crossed! Anyway...He only phoned me yesterday morning at 10am to ask could I make it for 1 o clock today... I said Fup it, dropped everything at college, drove over a hundred 150miles home and got started cleaning the Polo... I stayed up all night long, washing, polishing, detailing, hovering, lowering etc... Still didnt fully get the wheels or arches clean but good enough... Found a lovely spot for photos with a rough limewash wall with moss and stuff on it in the background and ill get some up soon.. Bad news tho... I forgot my camera in the mad rush so only have a handfull of phone pics but he's gonna email them on to me so I can get them up for all to see... It was great, even the weather held up for the hour or so that we needed... I'm delighted, an really wasnt expecting it, its always been a dream of mine to have a feature... especially my first car that I've worked so hard on... Anyway, when I find my phone cable ill get the pics up and then the emailed ones whenevr I get them... And in march hopefully ill be able to scan in the 5 pages about it...

Oh and I got him to mention clubpolo in it too....!

Thanks... Get pics up soon... just wanted to share my joy! LOL
