get a cannon!

those eos things are monster SLR cameras, the mrs had one last crimbo 450D i think (10MP) i think or something like that....takes an absloute beast of a pic.

i had/still have a IXUS30 when they came out. 3.1MP camera. all i can say is after playing with friends/families cameras of all other different makes the cannon is a dam site easier to use, the pics on my 3.1 camera are better than some cameras with twice the pixels.

btw, TESCO Direct are doing a Cannon IXUS 7.0 and photo printer for like £150.00

I learnt my Photography with a Fuji Finepix s5000, just to get the basics of what does what etc. Then bought a Canon 10D with a 28-135 lens off my mate for 450quid. Hell of a quality differance with the DSLR compared to the Fuji.

2 picture here from a Fuji S5000.

Very Nice As I said in my first post I recomend the

s5700 my first own camera that know one else owned and i owe so many brilliant pictures to that but I moved on and have just bought a Cannon 400d Last night :)

id go for a nikon d80, my friend has one n i use it all the time! tis awesome!

price takes the urine though lol

I've had a Canon 350d for around a year and a half now. I started off only using the automatic settings, but after a while I started experimenting and found it very very easy to learn everything. Its a simple camera to use, however the kit lens is not great, so if you were to buy a Canon, have a lens budget in mind as well. The 350d will be a lot cheaper now, as the 400d is out. Both are good as a starting camera, with the 400d having only slight improvements (extra 2mp, larger lcd screen, and a self cleaning lens system).

Anyway here are some photographs I have taken with the 350d:

ha ha someones bin round brick lane.

ha ha someones bin round brick lane.

It was a photography project on colour. I chose to show how Brick Lane wouldn't have the same energy/feel to it etc. if it didn't have the colour that it does. Only used the last two photographs in the final edit though (along with two others).

A more recent portrait project here... Click

I used the last two in the final edit of the colour project. Felt they portrayed the feel of Brick Lane quite well.

I need to crop the first one to keep the original proportions, just haven't got round to it!

All of my photos and other work is on http://www.f--u--r--b--y.deviantart.com/ if you want to have a look :)

Not sure I can upload them on here, they are quite large files! Does the link work on your home computer?

Just meant bad as in there was very little going on to take pictures of. I've been before and taken hundreds of photos, and other times I've seen literally nothing I want to photograph. Usually because of the weather and the day I go.
