Hi i got pulled over the last night because i have the rear reg plate in the back window

I have had the boot flushed etc and dont no where to put it on the body... so i was wondering if someone could show me how they have got theirs so i can get it sorted...

Your best bet would be, stick on the bottom of the bumper or make a special recess indented into the bumper like Test Richies old motor..

When I used to have a smoothed boot I just stuck it on the botom of the bumper with a relocated number plate light

Personally i didnt like it on mine because I still had the handle but uve smoothed that off, so should look ok

BUT a new recess in the bumper would look smarter

recess the bumper for definate, check the mk4 gallery for pics of test richies old car for inspiration, certainly a temp fix would be a stick on one though..

ash also hasa recess in his bumper..

Should really have thought about the plate before you smoothed off the boot.

I did like mine but always liked Ash's and Amit's better as they were smaller. But i could never find a plate that i liked to replace the one i had.

Recess in the bumper looks wicked, like ash's or amits looks perfect!

was there reason for Pulling you because of the number plate behind glass?? What about Buses, there behind glass!

But yea, I'm planning a recess, and iv just been hoarding pics, ordered my US Size plate and just given that to the bodyshop to make fit!

i think its because they arent lit... so maybe geta' sticker plate thing made stick it on perspex then stick it in the window and tape a torch to the parcel shelf so its back lit just an idea?

you can buy that crappy fibreglass dietrich one from rennsport though
