Why don't you use 2 6mm sticky pads at the top and use 4 at the bottom, double them up to make the height of the sticky pad 12mm to clear the bottom of the tub?

was thinkin of doin that not sure if that might make it more likely to come off or not?

also tempted to borrow a drill and just make some holes in em
